☑ Notes:

  • I finished this on August 3rd and 3:33pm I feel like that means something ‐ OR IS SOMETHING “meaningful” 😭 oh my god I’m getting scared now
  • sweet and fluffy but also emotionally deep ‐ perfect balance of like everything I want in a romance 🥰 loved it all the way down if you couldn’t tell by me hearting like everything chapter 😭
  • Maverick and Lauren were both extremely lovable to me and matched each others freak perfectly and I loved that for them
  • literally don’t know what else to say other than the book had me likecomment image and thiscomment image basically the entire time

Highlights:

  • their first everything at once 😭
  • their trip to the estate sale
  • Maverick showing Lauren the rooms after finishing them up
  • Literally anytime they comforted and helped each other when they were hurt physically or emotionally
  • their listening skills and the reassuring
  • Lauren’s friends (Marita and Mira especially)

  • Maverick is so (ʃƪ˘ﻬ˘) like her helping her change her bandage and lifting her away from the paint chips 🫶🏽 ‐ and Lauren is so (⸝⸝⸝ᵒ̴̶̷ᴗᵒ̴̶̷ꕤ) like she just seems so fragile and precious but also chill relaxed hippie vibes
  • also I love how much Marita and Anita re in this already ‐ I feel like they don’t really show up much in other books and I love them

  • Mora coming out to Lauren and saying Billie is her everything 🥹 like literally stop it that was so sweet
  • and Maverick omf she’s literally perfect I love her ‐ like the way she’s just such a good person/friend to Lauren is so sweet ‐ she doesn’t want to “take” anything from her w/o giving something back even if it is something small like laundry which is so thoughtful

  • biiittcchhh I literally just wrote a 600 word mini essay on heart of darkness by Joseph Conrad yesterday that’s literally insane that theyre quoting him rn
  • mini lore drop ‐ of course theres a lame ex who probably gave her relationship trauma :/ ‐ why in all these stories are these girls getting broken up w/ instead of doing the breaking up
  • why is Anita always going through it w/ her patients ‐ but Marita’s always there to comfort her 🥹

  • I would literally die if somebody caught me djing bc I was being too loud 😭 ‐ and the fricking contractors were there too like girl why wouldn’t you wait until night time 😭 ‐ Maverick was still pretty cool about it but I wouldn’t be able to took at her for a couple days at least 😭
  • mira and Billie are literally sickeningly cute ‐ I have to read their book again soon

  • literally she vaguely mentioned being high and I’m on my way to the dispo lol ‐ a week long t break is enough for me ‐ this was my sign not to wait til Wednesday 😭
  • 🚫 mentions of sexual trauma not their own but past patients easily skimmed over ‐ basically trying to understand why and talking about how it makes them want to help women etc.
  • this was a date and you literally can’t convince me otherwise ‐ and ‐ it ‐ was ‐ so ‐ perfect ‐ like singing landslide together are you kidding me ‐ had me like this ໒꒰ྀི∩˃ ᵕ ˂∩꒱ྀི১ the whole time

  • the ending w/ the reading and the cuddling 🥹🫶🏽໒꒰ྀི⁄ ⁄>⁄ ⁄ <⁄ ⁄꒱ྀི১ ‐ and you can tell that Maverick listened to what she said about not being able to be affectionate w/ others when she was little and how it made her feel rejected and she reassured her physically 😩 I love her so bad
