synopsis
What do work and love have in common? They can both take over your life…
Saori Fujimura and her boss, Ayako Asano, are an unbeatable duo at work, but after hours their relationship is more than just professional. As tensions mount between Ayako and her husband and Saori’s feelings grow stronger, they’ll have to decide-is it love they seek, or merely pleasure?
rant
- 2nd manga this year and honestly I loved it
- Super short and fast paced in a good way
- Loved that this started with them as an “established couple” if you want to call them that
- The angst was angsting had a good slow burn to it in a not so typical way that keeps you guessing about whether or not there will be a happy ending
- The art was amazing ‐ this is the first borderline spicy manga I’ve read and the art was interesting but not weirdly perverted and over exaggerated the way some mangas / anime’s are which was appreciated
- Does include the cheating trope which I usually hate but it worked in this book especially bc the cheating went both ways
- Didn’t necessarily like that one of the main characters only engaged in their relationship bc they were being cheated on but then again none of the events would’ve happened otherwise
- Saori was a very sweet, loving, and chill character I loved her and couldn’t help but feel bad for her about her somewhat unrequited feelings
- I felt bad for Ayako but in a different way ‐ the pressure she feels from her mother and husband are definitely something I can empathize w/ but I’m glad she chose herself in the end
- Super easy read would definitely pick up again for a quick and easy read
