synopsis

Uno Hinako throws herself into makeup, fashion, and falling in love, hoping that will make her seem “normal” to the other people at her job. But no matter how hard she tries, she’s a self-doubting mess inside, and her attempts at “normal” romance with men just keep failing. When she starts to think she might be alone forever, a new normal presents itself in the form of her relationship with Asahi Sato, a level-headed woman who works at her company. It starts as respect, and then it becomes far more intimate.

  • Super cute super sweet ace romance manga
  • Art in this was great
  • Both of the characters were extremely likeable and sooo easy to relate to at least for me
  • Wasn’t expecting this to be ace but I actually really liked that it was
  • Asahi’s sister was my favorite character throughout this whole thing and I loved that she was a little instigator and pushed Uno and her sister together bc they would not have gotten there on their own ‐ or it would’ve taken forever
  • I loved the slow burn of this ‐ their friendship slowly becoming stronger and stronger until it just evolved into something more was beautiful
  • Asahi’s friend coming in half way and trying to ruin it was kind of annoying but I also think it helped them realize that they liked each other
  • UNO’s work friends were kind of weird to me ‐ I don’t know if this is super common in manga I haven’t read a lot of it but they seriously only cared about boys and they were supposed to be grown in this ‐ also I’ve never seen a group of friends this involved in someone else’s love life like it seemed like all they could talk about was who Uno was dating or who she would date next like getting all that from not only your mom but your friends as well is wild
  • Also Uno getting some kind of affection from her mom at the end was nice
  • Loved this would definitely read again
  • All their dinners at Asahi’s house w/ her sister
  • Ashai going to UNO’s house when she hurt her ankle
  • UNO painting Asahi’s nails
  • Holding hands 🥹
