synopsis
Kylie and Regan have been best friends since kindergarten, supporting each other through thick and thin.
While everyone thinks they would be perfect for each other, they insist there’s no chemistry between them—and Regan should know since she’s a chemistry teacher.
To prove it, they agree to a little chemistry experiment: they’ll go on three dates with each other.
So what if their gazes start to linger and accidental touches no longer feel platonic? They chalk it up to the romantic atmosphere—until a friendly good night kiss turns passionate.
Can their friendship go back to the way it was before? Do they even want it to? Or will they risk losing what they have for a chance at love?
rant
- now this was the friends to lovers I was looking for in “down to a science” ‐ this has to be one of the first books by Jae that I can hands down say that I loved
- I think this book was paced perfectly ‐ a perfect medium paced book
- It was honestly almost sickly sweet but I freaking loved every second of it
- Abby Craden nailed the audio just like she always does honestly (even though I think she should’ve switched the voices for Reagan and Kylie & she mispronounced Regan I think??)
- These characters were extremely loveable Regan and her family were so good to Kylie and Kylie was just sweet, caring, and thoughtful back
- Loved that Kylie actually ends up working w/ Regan’s family ‐ loved the full circle moment there
- The side characters / friends were great too might just have to check out their books sometime as well
- Would definitely read again I honestly wish there was more to this one
