Audrey Caplan knew what she wanted. It was simple, really: get the spot as captain of her college soccer team, and focus on school. That was it, and with her aptitude for structure and discipline, it’d be easy to ignore distractions. At least it would’ve been if Morgan Bailey hadn’t shown up. If there was one thing Audrey’s bulletproof restraint wasn’t prepared for, it was an annoying, adorable show-off with a heart of gold.

  • 4, 5, 4, 4
  • good book ‐ had its little ups and downs for me but I really liked it
  • I’m honestly not really a big fan of like exes playing a big role in romance books so I didn’t really enjoy the front half of this ngl
  • also Audrey frustrated or gave me second hand embarrassment quite a few times throughout this but I still liked her ‐ Morgan was *chefs kiss* I loved her down bad ‐ also a little random but I loved zuzu too
  • the writing style was 😬 at first but it grew on me and it was super easy to read
  • the little rivals moment didn’t last long which I also appreciate ‐ it just would’ve been weird to drag it out
  • I liked the way she wrote about soccer too it’s was detailed when it needed to be and I never felt bored reading about the games or practices
  • Would read again – maybe skip the first few chapter tho ngl
  • going to the art festival together

☑ Chapter 1

  • writing style is more simplistic but not bad necessarily ‐ I like the dialogue
  • i have a feeling im going to be getting a lot of second hand embarrassment reading this lol bc Audrey be doing to too much and reading to far into things
  • honestly she reminds me of myself tho she’s direct, competitive, ambitious, easily flustered, wouldn’t surprise me if she’s a perfectionist too
  • Morgan seems chill, a little like Audrey said
  • i already love Zulema bc i mean goalies are always the best
