synopsis
It’s not easy being a werewolf. After claiming her first (and hopefully last) victim, Harper thinks she has it all figured out. Her job keeps her busy. Her family locks her up during the full moon. She’s even friends with the local vet who is always armed with tranquilizers.
But her fragile grip on the situation can’t last. Not when newcomer Emerson moves into Harper’s small town and sets the wolf free. Now Harper must figure out what the wolf wants, and stop it before she ends up with more blood on her teeth.

- overall pretty good sapphic werewolf book
- I’m not sure whether or not to call this a straight to sapphic book ‐ Harper had only been in one relationship before Emerson (w/ a man) then she never dated again (until Emerson) ‐ It doesn’t really mention whether or not she was interested in woman too before the “incident”
- While this story is overall sapphic Emerson is bi and does entertain a male lover interest for at least half of the book before she really connects w/ Harper ‐ just dates though
- I liked the authors writing style ‐ they were really good at building tension
- The climax was actually crazy ‐ I was not expecting all that drama ‐ she built up the tension nicely but when it exploded it felt a little overdone
- This book by no means was perfect plot wise but the pacing helped balance it out
- This book was pretty fast paced and kept you on your toes
- I actually hated any scene where Emerson & Holt were together
- Idk if I’ll read the next book ‐ maybe if I’m in a werewolf mood since this genre is so limited in the sapphic arena
- Would read again if I’m in a werewolf mood
